Fiberglass tanks are critical assets in many chemical storage applications. A well manufactured FRP tank can provide 40 or more years of service even when storing harsh chemicals, corrosives, or caustics. Despite their versatility, FRP tanks often fail early. - Observe discoloration, damage, or leak.
- Locate and quantify problems with an SP8310 inspection.
- Identify a repair method consistent with ASME RTP-1, ASTM D3299, ASTM D4097, API-12P, AWWA D120, or any other standard to which the tank was designed.
- Hire a qualified contractor like TSP Tank Services to complete the repair.
- Perform a reinspection to confirm the repair.
- Return the asset to service.
