Airports

Fuel operations at airports have many unique challenges.  In addition to following SPCC rules and fire code regulations common to all fuel farms, airports are also required to comply with FAA regulations in an environment subject to heightened scrutiny by regulators, vendors, and customers.  Maintaining an airport fuel farm requires continuous equipment maintenance from receiving to storage to dispensing.

TSP is familiar with the inspection and maintenance requirements imposed by ATA-103.  Our maintenance crews regularly change filters, grease pumps, replace hoses, and monitor equipment for current and future issues.  We provide a monthly maintenance program to support airports with limited personnel, saving money over hiring a full-time operator, and ensuring that all work is completed by knowledgeable personnel.

TSP also performs ATA-103 annual inspections.  Our ATA-103 inspectors – who also hold certification under API-653 and SP001 – have specific experience with inspecting Jet-A and Avgas tanks.  Our inspections monitor tank contents for water, sediment, biological growth, and other contaminants which may cause fowling of the downstream fuel system.
